I would work more often with jadeite but I feel that marketplace is disdainful to art and artists. The artist's labor and the quality of the work run a distant second to the material itself. It's a fun material to play with, however and its physical structure makes it extremely durable so the carver's imagination can run wild. This is a fancy shape and it contains a fancy opal and an 18k bezel. Jadeite is considered a stone of protection and good fortune. It harmonizes the wearer with the external environment and fosters an inner nature of self reliant confidence, inner peace and tranquility.
